Hmm what is tthe PH thoughts on this BNP suporter?
Discussion
If the BNP is brought up usualy plenty of PHers fight amongst themselves to be the most PC.
Just came accross this story in the guardian. Will Phers still label him a moronic knuckle dragging racist?
He sounds like their biggest fan and wants to join.
'Every Hindu and Sikh should be praising the BNP'This weekend the British National Party will vote on letting non-Caucasians join. If the rules do change, Rajinder Singh, a Sikh, can't wait to become a member

Interesting to see how the party wil take this. Accept him? this is a tricky one where is that popcorn smiley I bet Griffin is having a heart attack.

It doesn't really surprise me at all. With the stupidest government in recent history apparently determined to show it's pro Islamic credentials at every opportunity (well, short of of not bombing the crap out of Iraq and Afghanistant, obviously) and with a not inconsiderable section of Islamic opinion openly wanting things like Sharia law, why wouldn't a Punjabi Sikh, who feels that pre Islamic Britain was good to him, join the BNP?

I can see why he would want to join. The interesting part for me is how the BNP party and more importantly their supporters will take this chap.Is it the enemy of my enemy is my freind or he's Asian we want him out too?

I know tonnes of Hindus and Sikhs who vote BNP, purely due to the party's anti-Muslim sentiments.
Surprised you haven't included Jews then in the "tonnes of voters"Pesty said:

Why not? He can still be a Sikh and be racist. He appears to support the BNP because he doesn't like the pakistanis. The BNP are still the party of racists. They've said they'll let in non whites just to improve their image but fully expected that nobody 'foreign looking' would take up the offer. I'm sure most of them don't want this bloke to join. Perhaps the BNP will now have to be a party of people who don't like immigrants who come 'over here' from today onwards?

It shows how distorted their world view is.
I've been out of UK a while but...
Is it not possible that the Sikh or Hindu came to live in the UK because he prefered the lifestyle that "on the table" the day he arrived.
He may not like the changes that have taken place anymore than you.
He may actually dislike the changes more than the average UKer because it has made his life more uncomfortable. (being from Indian sub cont etc)

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here? Are you suggesting that because he's not white, he can't be a knuckle-dragging racist?Just came across this story in the guardian. Will Phers still label him a moronic knuckle dragging racist?

I think every Indian and pakistani that came over to the UK in the 60s was not really looking for a new lifestyle but work with wages that were a hell of a lot more than they would get 'back home'. He may not like the changes that have taken place anymore than you.

I think his inner india/pakistan division experience is what really drives him to vote for the BNP. Now he's found a enemy of his enemy so naturally he becomes their friend.
At the end of the day the BNP lot will still call him a 'p4ki'.
