I never read their magazine, but it seems wrong it should go.

It's a bit sad isn't it. Like an old Auntie that you never visited, or even met, dying.

without leaving you any money

Used to read it 35 years ago - at my nan's - in the bog - great stuff - "Life's Like That" - Humour in Uniform"

Funny stories etc.

Shame.

Almost another great institution lost (the almost because it lives in the USA)

I'm kinda relieved, as I was thinking of taking out a subscription as I miss reading it at the breakfast table at my parents so much, but couldn't justify it (as that is one of the reasons I visit them so often wink)

In truth, I will miss the magazine and the condensed books, dreadfully frown

I only ever got one 'A' grade for an essay at school, and that was when I copied an article on Hydrogen, word-for-word from the Readers Digest.

Does this mean 'Tom Champagne' is going to write to me asking for £250,000 instead of threatening that I could win it?

Same here. I think I was through to the forth round with bonuses IF I returned documents within a week.

Only time I saw these were bundled up at jumble sales or 5 years out of date at the Hospital!

To be fair there are some very interesting articles but I believe it was subscription only? Why? Perhaps they would have done better if it was nestled with the zillions of other publications.

Which? (magazine) Next for the hit list? As thats another odd one.

Whe I heard it on the news yesterday, I immediately thought of "old Tom" being UB40!
