From The Register.

TheReg said:
DEFRA paid more than £8m over two years to civic society groups if they spread the correct message about Global Warming. These included a computer game that was used so infrequently it cost £47 per go, and £160,000 for a man to drive around with a truck sign.
Basically the government is giving out cash to any group willing to spread climate change propoganda under the banner of 'education'.

A little money means a lot to a volunteer-run community radio station like Wythenshawe FM. The availability of easy money for Climate issues mean a lot of people have a finger in the pie.

I'm prepared to logo my Ultima GTR with "Fight Climate Change" and drive at trackdays to promote.

Hopefully I'll be negotiating my rate with a Government middle manager who has worked their way up the ranks via age, race and relationships with management peers (Did very well against them when at DHL so expect the same highly profitable result).

Nothing will happen whatsoever, apart from everyone will be stood in awe of the gulf which separates us and them.

It's getting bigger as this all rolls on.

Awe? More disgust and despair, I'd have thought.
