This would appear to be something the residences near the embassy are happier with than the current one:

The current embassy is a listed building so the residents are stuck with it. This new one looks pretty cool though.

Does C4 float? Maybe they could make armbands out of it.

Place a huge pump in it and make it into white water rapids. Perhaps electrify it; imagination is the limit. smile

This chat is dangerous. Let me go get my tin-foil hat, and I'll be back...

the article said:
The new embassy, on a former industrial site behind Battersea power station known for its gay clubs, will be designed by Kieran Timberlake, the Philadelphia architect.
Didn't realise this...

Well I wouldn't have gone so far as to describe it as looking like a gay club, but now you mention it. Although perhaps it's little too gay for your typical UK homo.

Tasteful Jimbeaux, tasteful.

Thank you; I try. biggrin However, I was referring to Plotless' smirk about there be a large number of gay clubs in "Battersea". smile

Ah I see. So it's designed to fit in with the said gay clubs then. Good idea, it'll keep the Muslim terrorist out as I believe they don't like willy battles in the showers.

Well, if that is going to be the line of thinking, then a tastefully decorated bacon emporium within the compund can only help.

It wasn't anything to do with gay clubs.

I just think its quite amusing to consider the most expensive Embassy building on the planet being up the Queenstown Road.

Most people who find themselves having to move from Mayfair to Battersea have been through a costly divorce or been caught fiddling the VAT.
