His brother??!!! What's the implication here, that George comes from genetically corrupt stock?

I thought that was mandatory for all MPs

So? I don't see how his brother has anything to do with him?

(Though I do notice the papers seem to think it's highly relevant).

"Christ" and a roll-eyes smiley indeed.

Hardly news worthy is it? Did you actually read what he did? The bloke's obviously a tit and has made a severe error of judgement.
Hardly in the same league as say Jack Straw's brother http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/...
Or Tessa Jowell's husband http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/27/david-...

I'd have thought that given the chap has recently converted to Islam and married a foreign chick that he'd garnered some kudos with the resident PH 'I'm not a Labour supporter but the Tories are evil because they stole my dad's school milk' brigade.
rolleyes
Indeed.

It's questionable to try and link brother 1 with brother 2, but this is the downside of valueing celebrity. We're all still curious.

Non-story nevertheless.

Love all the Tory boys jumping to Ozzy's defence! If it were A Labour MP, we'd have a different attitude on here...

Having said that, what he did was really minor!

Doesn’t matter which party his brother belongs to, to try and hold an individual responsible for the independent actions of an adult sibling is pathetic, as others have pointed out, simple searches turn up other far more serious yet similar issues for other politicians who were not then subject to the negative publicity that George Osborne has.

It’s a typical labour\socialist\Marxist\Nazi tactic, which only seems to work on the more gullible members of our society wink but what do you expect from the party that stole free milk from our secondary schools

Why do you say that?

One is accountable for one's actions. Not the actions of another adult IMHO. This is regardless of your political party.

If Mr Brown's brother (if he has one) was arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs, would this affect my view of Mr Brown? No, he'd still be a c***. Ok, that's a poor example, Brown can't get much lower in my estimation. If I could think of a Labour MP who wasn't a hypocritical spineless waste of oxygen then I'd give another example.... But I think you get the point.

Really?
Please be so kind as to show/quote anyone here jumping to defend George Osbourne.
Aside from your goodself, the consensus here appears to be that it's a non story, irrespective of party loyalties.
Anyway, why should you care? You're not a Labour supporter..........
