Fairly accurate, isn't it......

I saw this on the news today and wondered why it's never the Managers who have their jobs threatened, or the 5 a Day Co-ordinator departments. Oh no, it's schools and rubbish collection which will suffer....

The Mash is comedy gold.

Oh boo hoo for the public sector having to cut back after years of the private sector having it forced upon them and no sign of it letting up

If only every other news source cut straight to the heart of the matter like TDM does. I don't think I've ever disagreed with the thrust of one of their piss-takes!

I also hear we had a football match where not one of the players had sex with something.

Amazing.

I woke up the other day and thought maybe I'd had sex with John Terry but it was just an itchy bum from last night's curry

Those were pretty much my thoughts when watching the news this morning - it's always the essential-but-apolitical departments which get shafted, not the waste-of-space-hobby-horse sh'te!

I may not enjoy my job sometimes, but I'm SO glad I don't work in the public sector...I think I'd have gone postal by now! (Pun firmly intended wink )

Dear old auntie seems to be almost horrified at the prospect of "Threat to '25,000 council jobs'" ...

General reaction from the Have Your Say page seems to be "feck 'em!" biggrin

I got diddly squat in sympathy when i was made redundant (financial services) .. so i can offer absolutely no sympathy other that i hope they will re-employed in a useful role i.e. not working for the council.

Looks like we'll have to find a way to cope without street football coordinators.
