East London, The Labour Party & Religious Extremists.
Discussion
The Telegraph was full of stories yesterday about the Islamic Forum of Europe’s (IFE) growing influence in East London. It says the group has effectively infiltrated the local Labour Party and brought extraordinary pressure to bear on the local council, Tower Hamlets, where a number of the IFE’s members and supporters have been installed in key positions.

Identity Politics, it appears, is here to stay in the UK. Or is this just emotive sound-bite politics and Labour are doing what any political party would in their situation?
Labour MP speaking to Telegraph said:
Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, Jim Fitzpatrick, the Environment Minister, said the IFE had become, in effect, a secret party within Labour and other political parties.
“They are acting almost as an entryist organisation, placing people within the political parties, recruiting members to those political parties, trying to get individuals selected and elected so they can exercise political influence and power, whether it’s at local government level or national level,” he said.
“They are completely at odds with Labour’s programme, with our support for secularism.”
Mr Fitzpatrick, the MP for Poplar and Canning Town, said the IFE had infiltrated and “corrupted” his party in east London in the same way that the far-Left Militant Tendency did in the 1980s. Leaked Labour lists show a 110 per cent rise in party membership in one constituency in two years.

Leaked Labour Party membership lists obtained by this newspaper provide clear evidence that someone is certainly infiltrating Labour.
From 2006 to 2008, membership in the Bethnal Green and Bow constituency more than doubled from 551 to 1,159, at a time when the party’s membership nationally was in steep decline. In 2006, the party, like the constituency, was roughly 50-50 Asian and non-Asian.
But 90 per cent of the new members were Asian. Some 175 joined in a two-week period between Sept 14-28, 2007, and 31 on a single day – Sept 20, 2007.
Some of the new members told The Sunday Telegraph they were signed up en bloc by Lutfur Rahman, the man accused of rising to the council leadership with the IFE’s help.
In another case the supposed “members” could not be found and had never appeared on the electoral roll at the address they gave, but a person with the same name as an East London Mosque employee was on the roll at that address. Many other new members have the same names as staff or trustees of IFE-linked organisations. The exercise is not conclusive because many people in the Bangladeshi community have common names – but it is suggestive. The IFE denied it was in any way behind the rise in membership.

* IFE activists boasted to the undercover reporters that they had already “consolidated … a lot of influence and power” over Tower Hamlets, a London borough council with a £1 billion budget.
* We have established that the group and its allies were awarded more than £10 million of taxpayers’ money, much of it from government funds designed to “prevent violent extremism”.
* IFE leaders were recorded expressing opposition to democracy, support for sharia law or mocking black people. The IFE organised meetings with extremists, including Taliban allies, a man named by the US government as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and a man under investigation by the FBI for his links to the September 11 attacks.
* Moderate Muslims in London told how the IFE and its allies were enforcing their hardline views on the rest of the local community, curbing behaviour they deemed “un-Islamic”. The owner of a dating agency received a threatening email from an IFE activist, warning her to close it.
* George Galloway, a London MP, admitted in recordings obtained by this newspaper that his surprise victory in the 2005 election owed more to the IFE “than it would be wise – for them – for me to say, adding that they played a “decisive role” in his triumph at the polls.
George Galloway MP played to the Bangladeshi votebank brilliantly when he took his seat in Bethnal Green at the last election and it appears Labour think they have to do the same. * We have established that the group and its allies were awarded more than £10 million of taxpayers’ money, much of it from government funds designed to “prevent violent extremism”.

It's been in Private Eye's Rotten Boroughs for the last year or so - total and utter corruption but then, what do you expect in this day and age?
Thing is though.. Is this sort of thing going on in other parts of the UK?I fear Winky might get another term.

I don't know what to say. LBTH is my local authority, and having seen the utter disgrace of a shambles they have run over the last 10 years, this doesn't surprise me. Their agenda is aggressively pro-Bangladeshi muslim, and their spending patterns back this up to the hilt. (Needless to say, the money all comes from the banks and financial businesses in Canary Wharf - which is also in the borough. And, of course, due to the council funding deprivation weighting, they also get a HUGE whack from central government.)
Rahman is almost without a doubt corrupt. There is a very large amount of well-substantiated rumour around him and his 'business dealings', all of it traceable and extremely smelly but ultimately unproven (done through his business partners, wife, kids and goodness only knows what else. He is also, incidentally, the man behind the 'Islamic Veil' gates, proposed for Brick Lane. More here - this is one of his 'pet projects'. As a charming, smiling, and supposedly 'well-integrated' muslim 'businessman', he gets his finger into a large number of pies locally.)
Then you throw into the mix the whole, rancid, Galloway 'Respect' party issue. Those who don't know the details of this are advised to fire up Google and take the rest of the day off, to read a few websites and then cool their piss.
I didn't see the programme, but expect that there is little that was said that I wouldn't have been able to guess - or that would have surprised me. The depth of corruption that takes place under the banner of 'Islam' in this country is staggering. Political Correctness prevents any challenge, let alone criticism, of happenings that clearly should be (and indeed often are) illegal, and all are done by the same social group. Question them, and you are immediately labelled 'Racist'. Choudray, Wootten Bassett protests, forced marriages, postal voting fraud - the list goes on. Spotting the common factor is easy for an average five-year-old. Doing anything about it seems to be beyond the finest political minds currently running the UK. (Should I be condemned for far-right racism for writing this post, it will elegantly prove this point.)
You doubt the true motive behind this? Perhaps the words of Omar Bakri will help. Let's remember this is a man who was given asylum in the UK, claimed over quarter of a million pounds in benefits and almost certainly masterminded the 7/7 bombings.
Oli.

The words of a radical, without doubt. A radical with the same aim as the likes of Rahman (leader of Tower Hamlets) - simply a man who uses different means to achieve those aims. Oli.
I watched the program and was truly saddened by it. The corruption was immense. All them shady characters, their ideals, the blatant hiding behind a mosque to do their dirty deeds....

That's the point; 'Cancer' is a very good analogy to draw, as we are allowing the rapid growth of a group of people who have every intention of killing their host organism. However we seem to be incapable of doing anything about it - Political Correctness and the current administration prevent us from decrying those who are anything less than totally radicalised, and even then very slowly. (And more and more of those extreme radicals are coming from within, therefore we can do little about them - nowhere to deport them to if they were born and bought up in Blackburn.) I hate them.. time to stop the cancer that is slowly killing "OUR Society"
Coupled with this is the fact that the wider Muslim community flatly refuse to condemn the radicals, and equally bluntly refuse to give up those that they actively harbour. And this is a community that is growing in number very, very swiftly.
I agree with your last two statements wholeheartedly. It's too late, unless something very serious is done, and soon - something that Labour will refuse to admit even needs doing and Call-Me-Dave doesn't have the balls for. As WestyPreLit said, the words of those who are currently politically unwelcome will ring true, and when this happens it really will be too late.
Bleak times ahead, indeed.

But then the laws and policies have been handed to certain groups by our Lords and Masters over a good number of years so if the opportunity arises for you to take advantage of are you stupid not too?
Will anything change probably not, for it too this has to become news story number 1 and be broadcast on the same level as the expenses issue but that is never going to happen this would be far to uncomfortable for the powers that be to watch, our PC regulated news would never be allowed to play this out to the level is deserves and the tension it would create could be very unpleasant.
So suck it up chaps without some full scale media coverage it will be stuck away on late night media and brushed under the PC and Diversity stained carpet until the inevitable head explodes in our faces or the mad old racist Enoch's words become reality.
I am amazed this hasn’t turned into a much bigger thread.
The infiltration of a major political party is a far greater danger than anything that could happen in a distant war zone.
These local constituency party members select Parliamentary candidates. Control would allow the Fundamentalists to load Parliament with Islamic Fundamentalist M.P.’s. This might not be apparent since we already have Galloway inferring that they got him elected. You could have people elected who don’t overtly appear to be Fundamentalist supporters, or even Muslim, yet owe their allegiance to the Fundamentalists. Logically they wouldn’t act until there were enough of them to effectively implement a coups d'état.
We could see the day when these ‘sleepers’ within Parliament enacts legislation to make this an Islamic state.
You could see a situation where a desperate political party that might have little chance of winning an election would turn a blind eye to the infiltration of a few Fundamentalists, if this would allow them to win a General Election.
If a political party found that they were being infiltrated then you would expect the party leadership to be taking strong action and publicly denouncing the infiltrators. In this case we see not the leadership, but the Environment Minister. This sounds more like a whistle blower within the Ministerial ranks. It could be taken as inferring that our current PM would sell his soul to the devil to stay in power. If he wants to spend an eternity in hell then few here would stop him. But I do object to him handing victory and my country to the fundamentalists on a plate.
There are serious doubts that all the ‘new members’ are genuine and this surely amounts to an attempt at election fraud and possibly an early stage of the commission of acts of treason and revolution. If the law doesn’t cover this then the law needs urgently changing.

Your right this is a massive issue and strains of it can be found in many workplaces and general daily life in the UK, the changing of laws and creation of pressure groups are what has got us into this mess but it is one that could be seen coming by anyone with an objective thought process, not willing/able to make a lot of money from it or gain votes from it.
Unless there is upset on the streets or a massive turn from the main 3 parties to minor parties in the coming election then why should our leaders want to change they are immune to the effects of immigration the only bloody reason we know about this incident is because some Labour tosspot is now worried about his job, boo-hoo your party has lead us to this point you sort it.
The Tory are no better, I received a questionnaire from the Tory party last year asking to rank my main concerns, the results where sent to all those that completed it a few months later. Immigration was very high in fact iirc third whilst climate crap was almost at the bottom. I have not noticed one mention of immigration from the Tory's too worried about the nasty party tag so why f
king bother asking what people want them to address in the first place if you are just going to f
king ignore it because its too difficult. The whole political class have stuck their fingers in their ears and are going lar, lar, lar about anything that even goes near, race, religion, immigration, Until this is addressed normal non racist get along with who-ever white people are getting more and more concerned and becoming less tolerant, one day this will bite the powers that be badly on the arse.

That's very interesting. Although I would wonder why, if people have stated that it is a concern, the tories don't pick it up and run with it as they (should) know it will be a winner. Unless they only poll their existing core supporters, and think that campaigning on this issue with alienate them from potential new supporters. (In which case you have to wonder what they really stand for, surely?)

That is very true. Snag is that, as has been said, the point at which something can be done about it has probably passed, so is the only thing we can do sit back and watch the train crash happen (as it inevitably will do)? Oli.
