From my local paper. Sorry if repost; I didn't see any mention.

How was this fellow looked upon by UKers? Was he a stand up fellow or did he live off of his grandfather's name?

An abiding anti-soviet, he crossed Thatcher shortly after being caught shagging Khashoggi's missus. Not a rising star since 1979 wink

Being blessed with the same name wouldn't have helped, nor the fact that his father wasn't up to too much on the political front either really.
