Cheryl Cole fan Antony Grover believes the pop star was right to ditch her cheating footballer husband.
“It’s about time really. He was taking the p***at and the end of the day he can’t keep doing it no matter who is he,” said Antony.
“There’s no reason for her to have to stay with him now, it’s not like she needs the money.”
The 24-year-old got in touch with the Reading Post following a plea on getreading for the fan to give his verdict on Cheryl’s decision to give her hubby the boot.

Antony, from Whitley Wood, met Girls Aloud in 2005 when he won a Pepsi Max competition.
When asked what he thought of Geordie Cheryl going solo he said: “She seems to be doing well on her own.”
But he did think Ashley’s cheating “was her own fault” after she took him back following allegations he slept with a hairdresser around two years ago.
And Antony isn’t sure if the split will do her solo singing career any favours, he said: “[Last time] her career went off and everybody felt sorry for her but I don’t know if people will show as much sympathy this time.”
He added: “There’s arguments for both sides and no one knows exactly what has gone on.”
