We have the petitions.number10.gov.uk website, but is there anywhere we the people can make suggestions / debate etc. online? Obviously there would be a very large admin staff needed, but systems like those employed on digg.com could be used for self-moderating.

Of course it's naive of me, but I'd like to see constructive debate and then consensus, providing good possible solutions to societies problems that get taken forward and used, even if partly. Rather than just relying on politicians to resolve things in-between their daily bouts of squabbling and raiding our piggy banks for themselves or bankers. And us berating them down the local with no real consequence.

The cost of the website would be minimal (if they don't hire over paid consultants) and it could even turn a profit with a few ads stuck on.
