Who will be voting Labour?

The general conclusion that you pick up reading PH is that almost everyone that posts will not be voting for Labour in the next Election. Out of interest is anyone planning to vote Labour and if so why? The thread is not intended to be a debate but the Labour Party will get their 25% of the vote at the next election and I am genuinely interested to know why anyone could possibly vote for them after the debacle of the last few years.

A friend of mine who is an ex-council bod who got quite high up (and left early with an enhanced final salary pension - yes we've had endless discussions on who paid for this) has always voted labour and would never vote Tory - however even he can't bring himself vote for them this time.

The millions on incapacity benefit, the millions who are happy to be unemployed, pensioners whose sole income is the state pension, students, recent immigrants, those who work in local government, many civil servants etc

If I was one of the above I would vote Labour for purely selfish reasons. People vote for what is best for themselves and not the country as a whole so Labour's vote banks are alive and kicking.

Sadly this is very true, Labour have spent 10 years + creating their voting sector through creation of non-jobs, brainwashing students and paying money out to spongers

I have voted labour in the past mainly because they had the better candidates in my local area (yes it was Mandy for a while but there was a shed load of investment in the town during his tenure). Last time I didn't vote as I was out of the country, this time I will probably vote Tory as of the local candidates he is the only one who actually seems interested in doing anything, and he once bought me a beer

I would quite happily vote Labour if they followed libertarian principles..... So if they advocated personal freedoms, small non-interferring government, the reduction of taxes as the primary goal of successive budgets and to create a political zeitgeist where the representation of their constuencies' interests is paramount then yes I'd put my cross against the Labour candidate.
