Whatever that link was, the net nanny here declared it 'tasteless and offensive'; which is the first time I have ever seen a site blocked for that reason.

Someone came up with that a whole seven years before the LHC was switched on? Wow. I'm impressed.

I sat in bed this morning having a cuppa while watching the news talk about this and chuckled to myself that if they get this one wrong, they will get it very wrong.

Then I got angry that this might be my last day on the planet... and made myself another cuppa.

What you don't realise is that the machine actually invents time travel in the future, someone went back to 2001 to make that joke up.

They then just dropped me a call to say they want it back...

I wonder. Is it really likely to kill the planet or just the guys operating the machinery? Even if it's remotely possible, should it be allowed?

Who gives a fk?

This could be the doomsday machine.

We could all be wiped out in a blink of an eye. I've had a good one. If you haven't, tough pooh. No regrets.

It isn't remotely possible, so stop worrying. Particles collide at relativistic speeds across the universe constantly, and nothing odd happens.

No worries from me. I fully understand that in the grand scheme of things, I'm completely irrelevant - I have a marketing company FFS!

Yes they do. Earth's atmosphere is hit by particles travelling at relativistic speeds all the time.

The outer bit yes . . . not down at our level, not anywhere near us. And not with the force they are generating smile Hence the need to build such a machine.
