Typical DM *outrage* at anything involving drink and students/teenagers/anyone under 50

I've no doubt they have been making a lot of noise, being sick etc - but then the locals know what's coming and welcome the money.

Blown out of all proportion I don't doubt by the DM.

Hardly 100s on the rampage is it?

On the otherside I doubt that the locals who are not involved in the bar/club ownerships welcome them at all.

I think the 'outrage' is justified. It shows the typical british youth of today showing the usual lack of any integrity and respect for anything really.

Why is it mainly in the UK where it is seen to be 'cool' to be drunk?
Other places I've been to seem to be able to control their drink and drink as part of a social thing. Only in britain it seems that drink is used for a mission to lose control and use it as an excuse to be a complete 'dick'.

Always feel sorry for the locals in such holiday destinations. Having to put up with retards from britain.

I reckon the Spanish authorities are quite capable of clamping down if they want to without any assistance from the DM. The fact that they haven't done so yet suggests that for them the gains outweigh the losses.
Or things aren't as bad as they are being made out to be.

These are the same hardworking students who moan about tuition fees and no help to get jobs once they graduate etc etc.

Let them get on with it, but in a couple of years if they are moaning about Student debt etc, perhaps they should review the photos and think about how much they pissed away acting like children.

I can see the locals getting totally fed up with them too, if it is an extended thing.

And those guys in their pants in the first photo just look like a bunch of gayers, dry bumming each other!

Yes, been to southern Germany few times and even at the beer festivals.... totally different attitude towards drinking that we have here in britain.
Never saw any 'dickish' behaviour, just people enjoying the company and having a laugh. Never saw anybody being sick, threatening others or pi$$ing in the street....much like what you'd expect on a typical night out in any given town in britain (or typical brit booze destinations abroad).

True, but then Germans have a good time, get pissed, get a bit rowdy but don't behave like a mob of dicks. The Slavs.. Well, they're a whole different level. Huge alcohol consumption at usually quite high percentages, but like the Germans they don't go round in mobs behaving like dicks. Both the Germans and the Slavs tend to keep their clothes on, don't keep a score of how much they've drunk, don't usually go round in 'packs' and are normally able to avoid embarrassing themselves.

Yeah I love this idea that if you're living relies upon tourism you asked for 5,000 drunk tts to come vomit upon your establishment.

This is utterly disgraceful behaviour and the spanish police should be arresting more and charging them a fortune for the privelege.

Except. The Spanish police do arrest drunks. Just there weren't 5000 drunks, more like a few dozen. The rest of the them bring money into the resort.

I fear you regard the Daily Mail as a newspaper, rather than a flyer for the frothing at the mouth society...

Indeed. They get blind drunk, but generally the atmosphere is a lot less aggresive than with Brits. I still need somebody to explain to me why Brits seem to want to fight people a lot of the time when they get drunk. It staggers me.

I've seen only 2 fights in my 13 years of clubbing. And I go out a minimum twice a week. My British mates all have seen dozens.

Brits go to Spain, get pissed and cause mayhem shocker.

I remember when we went our first holiday in Magaluf, a friend of mine came back a distinct shade of green having all been on a 2 week bender. Spent the next 2 weeks in hospital when he came back.laugh

I won't describe what happened in fear of a proper flaming but we where in trouble before we even got to the hotelparty. Not sure if a biggrin is appropriate but what the hellbiggrin. As grumpy old men now, none of us are proud to say the least hehe

This type of naughtiness is nothing new !

Move along nothing to see here.

Ban booze in the EU! rolleyes

Need to find something more community spirited, perhaps like a brisk walk.
