Because we are all citizens of Europe now.

You too could go to Eastern Europe and walk around their supermarkets should you choose to do so smile Isn't it great.

It is a bit unfair that they can either come here and collect benefits or come here and earn money in a year to go back and buy a house.

Thanks to Gordon Brown we can't buy houses without incurring a life long debt.

Well we can't control the borders whilst in the EU.

It's the fact that most immigrants come from outside of the EU that I find incredible.

We are supplicants to the Euro beurocracy more like.

I liked Britain the way it was before the current wave of mass immigration.

I like it less now.

It is like that because somebody or somebodies decided to let it happen. It did not just happen like a natural phenomenon.

This is a myth, not all european citizens working, living and/or studying here show up on the immigration records.

Official figures state otherwise.

When it come to officialdom and the truth, these are generally two different things.

That might be true but i'm certainly not going to dispute the figures especially when they make the government look even more incompetent than it already is.

Because an expression of democratic will would have produced a result that differed from the will of those elected to represent you, democratically.

Simple. ...because a large proportion of british people are too lazy to do cheap labour. Its THE core problem in the UK and if you had the chance to cast your vote, you probably would have crippled the economy even further. Until people realize that they are not too good to pick fruit/veg/wait tables and the welfare isnt going to effecively provide them 20-25k a year for sitting on their arses, we cannot complain if you suddenly are not hearing english spoken in you local supermarket. Yes this country is too crowded, but the recent govt. has effectively created a policy whereby people are encouraged to come to the UK to do jobs that Brits could easily do, but wont because of a ridiculous, idle-rewarding benefit system they have strengthened, and have done nothing to combat the poor work ethic which has got noticably worse over the last 15 years.

Pages and pages of st written on this forum and in newspapers for years could instantly be vaporized if people just got this point into their thick heads.
..especially the morons who vote labour.

+1. I'd like to postulate the question 'why do we have so many feckless homegrown layabouts?' ..
The last East Europeans i met were either serving me up a pint or fixing my bathroom.

That is crap. It's the greatest trick of Capitalism that we need to work, work, work and the economy must run full throttle. Or else we can't afford the 2nd luxury car, the 3rd Plasma screen TV, the latest designer jeans.

The raw stuff to live on has never been more cheap and plentiful. We could all work 1/2 the hours and have a better quality of live, but because of Capitalism we believe we will somehow live in misery if we do that. The same way native Indians were fooled to trade land for cheap beads and whisky, the same way we are fooled by consumerism.

That's consumerism, not capitalism.

There's plenty of English to be heard in my local supermarket, and that's in the Netherlands.

The local Newsagent also stocks almost as many copies of English papers as it does local ones.
