Just found this on another website, it almost makes you want to cry!

Really? You'd think someone would write a story about that and post it on the internet. Strangely silent, although there is a story about Australia suspending asylum claims from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka due to changed circumstances in those two countries.elster said:

ked, however this is how international trade works.127 Million is worth it, as we get more back.
What should be cut back is the "aid" to India, as we don't quite get back as much.

No we don't.But to enable us to get the contracts to work on the technologies and defence contracts, there is "aid" given.
It more than pays for itself with China.
It also works with India, although the figures we give to India I don't personally see as that useful. However with India moving more into a position similar to China it wouldn't be too far off.
I do think India get a good ride with being one of our former stomping grounds, a lot more than they deserve.

Ermm but Australia have not stopped all fresh Asylum applications. They have suspended all new asylum claims by people from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan because they feel circumstances have changed in those two countries. Sri Lanka no longer has a civil war and Afghanistan I guess they think is a bit more stable than it has been.
