"For custard and St George" - Boris's St George's Day speech
Discussion
Boris is Ace - I agree....
Not sure if he'll make leader if the Tories see him as unconventional. He should make leader and I hope that he does. He's the sort that can really change how the government works because he isn't afraid of saying what he thinks.....there seems to be less vested interest......maybe I just don't know enough about him?!

You mean like the way he changed the way the congestion charge works... ?? He's the sort that can really change how the government works because he isn't afraid of saying what he thinks.....there seems to be less vested interest......maybe I just don't know enough about him?!
Finally he's just another [warmist] politician who will say whatever is necessary to get power.

If you are inferring the recinding of the Kensington and Chelsea expansion, do you think it's just like flicking a light switch? There's a huge infrastructure to deal with, let alone finding a way to cover the costs of installing the equipment for the extention before planning to rip it all back out again.
It's a bit like saying "why hasn't he banished the bendy buses yet?". Do you honestly think its as simple as scrapping/selling all of the buses that were purchased only a few years ago and buying a load of new ones? Th ecost implications are massive!
