I think this is an archive photo and is not of "katya" herself. because you wouldn't even need to sleep with that to have your reputation dented.

Looking at the article though it seems like the journo got busted and is just trying to blame the kremlin to save his face, as is very popular over there whenever someone gets caught doing something wrong.
