Will be voting Lib Dem - not because I want them in, but because voting Tory in my constituency is a total waste of a vote. 'Arm from E-ast 'ull an I vert Lay-ber cos arm not posh o-rayat' is the general consensus round here. If you ask any of them what they think of any of the parties manifestos, you get the same response; 'wots a mannifesterh?'.

Tactical voting for me it is!

(Funnily enough I got a leaflet through from Karl Turner, the local labour candidate who is replacing Prescott. He blabs on about how he's Hull born and bred, lives here, works here, will support the local economy, blah blah blah. Yet at the bottom of his leaflet he states that his leaflet was printed in Sheffield - funny when there's plenty of printers in Hull - nice support eh?).

Unfortunately for Botox Dave, the results on here are not due to a representative cross section of the UK public...
Jolly bad luck old bean!

DC to try to go alone with the DUP - a recipe for happiness and financial success? I think not.
If Gordo has just one more seat than the Tories regardless of the relative popular vote they will never see single party Govt again.
There is a lot hanging on this and the Notting Hill mob ought to have a serious look and constitutional & electoral reform if they really believe in Democracy, which I acknowledge is a bit doubtful.

Funny that. I'm always stunned that Labour do seem to get a few votes all things considered.

But yes: PH is not the general demographic by any means.

Occassionally it is difficult to remember there are other parties when you read PH too often.

Without a doubt there will be both constitutional and electoral reform. Call Me Dave will simply have to do it if he's to get anything past the House of Tony's Cronies Lords.

That and Scottish devolution: with Scots MPs barred from voting on Laws applying solely to England and Wales.

That's Labour scuppered practically forever.

Gordon Brown still playing safe. CMD and Clegg both in places with very low majorities working hard... Brown is in Bradford!

I always said that Labour's share of the vote will not drop below 27% - it can't! ...because that's the workshy and public sector vote.

However, I still firmly believe that the former is less likely to get off its collective arse and bother to vote.

I agree, i am a Landlord and some of my tennants get there rent paid for from the goverment and they never vote. The unemployed bums living off Labours gifts cant be arsed voting.

I think the Tories need an 8% lead to win outright, i cant honestly see it happening as Sky's Poll of Polls has it at 6% and thats including a Harris Poll putting Labour at 24%. Populus and Mori polls seem to have it at 5-6%.

The only party which has a cat in hell's chance of booting Labour out of this seat is Lib Dem. A vote for anyone else might as well not be cast.

That's not the point, if everyone voted for the party that they liked then it would send a message that this party's policies are preferred by the punters. Tactical voting doesn't do that so the main parties don't know what the punter really wants
