I was a little surprised when I read it I must admit - they appeared to come across as a bit of a lefty paper during most of the campaign. Or at least they appeared to fall under the spell of Clegg.
I thought the Standard was part of the Mail group??
ts who normally has his head buried playing Angry Birds on his iPhone rather than read the paper, so I could be quite wrong on the lefty bit, but did read the editorial tonight. It was good, responsible journalism. Not often I say that.I expect it has as much to do with this as anything else. They want to back the winner and been seen to have backed the winner.

Wasn't it bought by that Russian fella?- Ex-KGB
- Some interesting dirt (about his son?) still to come out
- Some curious, unconfirmed political affiliations - a front for Murdoch?
