This is not another 'who are you going to vote for' as there are quite a few already...
But what party candidate actually bothered to come to your house?
The only candidate that came here was Labour. In the last general election it was Labour and the Green party. Perhaps being in a mainly Conservative area they just thought 'why bother'?
I know some people like a door step fight but I politely told them I was not interested.

None, even though this is quite high on Labour's target list (currently Tory).
Aklthough oddly I got a text from a DCameron this morning - but I am not a Tory party member, never have been or would want to be, don't know any, and wouldn't give my mobile number to them. Was a polite text, mind.

None have darkened our door. Might be something to do with the 'Vote Guy Fawkes' poster in the window, but I suspect not. Did have a couple of canvassers appear one weekend who disappeared after knocking on a few doors - that's dedication for you
I'm in an ex-mining village, so everything is still Maggie's fault and you could stick a labour rosette on a turd and people would vote for it. Talking of which, it's become something of a joke that the candidate parachuted in to replace Geoff Hoon, Gloria 'Tits oot for the lads' de Piero, has yet to be seen by *anyone*. This has rankled a lot, and for all the village's red history, I wouldn't be susprised to see a strong swing to the LibDems, but not enough to unseat Labour.
Still, Nick Clegg and Vince Cable, must be convinced they stand a chance here given that they've written to us every f
