Now that over sized public schoolboy Cameron is in charge? Of course the Old School network will be chortling into their port but how is the life of your average John Q Taxpayer going to change?

Despite all the frenzied masturbating over a Tory Prime Minister here on PH, I am not sure that any Conservative Government has actually lowered taxes...

Stealth taxes were one of the main criticisms of Major's Government as I recall...

No matter who got into No 10,
your taxes WIL go up,
jobs in the public sectior WILL be slashed
and vast savings WILL be pushed through.

How else can the disaster that Winky left us be paid for? Only by WORKING, PRODUCING GOODS and paying taxes!

ANYONE who believes otherwise is living in a Labour Cloud Cuckoo Land... nuff said

It wont if you are in the private sector. Your fuel bill will continue to go up, Council tax might rise by £100 over the year, VAT will probably go up, but overall not much will change. Life might cost you £500 more over the course of a year. Next year though, expect to see the base rate start to rise.

Public sector employee and you may well be in for squeaky bum time. Massive job cuts heading that way.

There is going to be hell up as the unions and most of the staff haven't got a clue about how they are all financed.

You trusted a man who put the UK 900 billion in debt?

It did this during Labour's reign, too.

I am glad to say I predicted an outpouring of spite and bile from frustrated lefties after the election. I am delighted to see it's true. laugh

Actually THIS coalition is going to do things to help the low-paid. The LDs will see to that.

I'm not a Labour supporter and didnt really have any time for Gordo, the point I was trying to (rather ham fistedly) make was that I do not trust Cameron at all - it just seems to me that he'll make sure the rich get richer and the rest of us will pay for it.

The Lib Dems are the only saving grace in this set up - I just pray they havent sold out completely in order to become part of this Government.

Well. People may view it as "sold out". I expect they will view it as "being realistic". They'll get some of what they want.

And you know this how? Because the lefties have been lying and spinning like tops for what seems like forever? At least wait and see, if it turns out you were right, fine go right ahead and hate, knock yourself out, prejudging someone is pretty crap though.

I wonder if perhaps you are a little out of your depth here?

What have the rich been doing for the past 13 years?
