I'd love to know the ratio of how many Brits goto these poorer EU countries, compared to how many come here to sponge, I mean work.
I bet it is next to none, seems grossly unfair to me if they can get benefits then ps off back to where ever they came. Biggest farce ever the EU.

What has Estonia entering the Euro got to do with them coming to the UK?

Or are you 6 years behind the times?

To be fair, millions of Brits now live in Spain, many of them pensioners. And I'm quite sure they sponge off Spanish largess. Imagine being Spanish - with the severe Govt cutbacks going on - and queuing up for treatment in Benidorm General Hospital behind some foulmouthed old duck from Nottingham who got pissed, fell over and broke her hip. We're just as bad! So people in glass houses etc...

Indeed. I thought the only paper currency deemed acceptable to an Etonian was a Coutts cheque.

I could swear that a few years ago I saw a report about unemployed British guy who went to some stty eastern European country where he was legally able to pick up locally-funded benefits to the value of those he would have received in the UK. It worked it that on his £X grand benefits he could live like a king and had more money coming in than fully employed locals. I could have entirely got the wrong end of the stick on that though. But, IMO if EU citizens come here to take advantage of the beneifits, the should onlt get equivalent to what they would have received at home.

These are the same pensioners complaining about the falling value of the £ affecting their income.

It's like no one told them the value of the £ vs the Euro fluctuates before they shipped off out there.
