Have a read of this.

  • £10 an hour minimum wage
  • 8 weeks of paid holidays per year
  • Maximum 35 hour working week
  • Nationalisation of transport, utilities, oil, gas and the financial sector
  • 1 million new council homes
  • Leave the EU and NATO
  • 65% top tax rate
  • Doubled pensions and benefits for the unemployed, sick and disabled
  • Progressive approach to crime and civil liberties
  • 1 year maternity leave on full pay + universal state childcare
I cannot imagine a more polarised forum. I cannot wait for the responses.

Oh, and this.

"I want it to be a party that will make Britain similar to Cuba or the great late USSR. Come on comrades, lets make a revolution." hehe

This one perhaps? biggrin

I don't agree with it at all but it's no worse than "People on benefits should be denied the right to vote..."

Both sentiments are dangerous and both are worrying coming from the lips (or indeed finger tips) or people in this country.

I'll be registering on thet later and asking the lefties some questions, most of which I shall get abused for. I hate socialism. I'm all for helping those less fortunate and I could not be any more working class but I belive in striving for a better life off of my own hard graft.

Sadly socialists appear to have very little idea of how the real world works, and human nature.

I'd love to know who exacting they think will pay for all this and where the money would come from.

Why are some people unable to grasp the basic rules of how things work ?

Please give this faction all the support and encouragement you can - they really ought to succeed in their initial aim - making Labour fundamentally unelectable, even by the Sun/Daily Mirror/Star readers.

I get most of the thinking behind these, perfectly in line with socialism. Where did this maximum working week thing come from though? I can't see any benefit in that whatsoever...

For that very reason, we need either Ed Milipede or that Balls Brother to be elected leader of Labour.

Let them veer ever more leftwards and become even more of an irrelevance.

Perhaps Labour will lurch to the left, and the Blairites within the party will become disillusioned and split off to form their own party. They could call it the Social Democratic Party.

We were under a Labour administration when we joined NATO. They were instrumental in creating NATO.

The whole thing is nonsense.

aka Lib Dems.

The lib part of lib dems is collective rather than individial liberalism, hence is iso to socialism.

If you look at how profitable these empty promises have been for those at the top it is quite clear that many of those making the promises understand exactly how things work.
