About to interview DC. Find it amusing he was made to run to Downing street rather than Dave go into the studio. Marr had to sprint back and missed the start of the show hehe Interview to be played back shortly.

Ed Milliband being interviewed now, hmm, read his wiki and he went from unit straight into Labour as a researcher, have liebour learnt nothing??

Charlie wheelan on also, what's a horrible little man, his smug grin is making me want to damage my tv!

I think it would be really good for the labour party to have a miliband as leader. wink

Not surprised that "Red" Marr isn't getting it his own way now. Good, good.

Any update? I, too, prefer the television in the usual location/number of pieces. And, anyway, Sportacus is on.

I would prefer Ed Balls to get it, just for the sheer hilarity of hearing "Mr Balls" being uttered in Parliament, and hearing all those labour supporters proclaiming their love for Balls...

Really good interview by DC imho. Having never really been a fan of his he is showing a lot of logic, honesty and decent leadership. Doesn't seem interested in soundbites and spin, breath of fresh air.

Loved his comments on public sector pay saying 'sadly the BBC is out of my control as quite frankly some of you earn 50 x the lowest paid and that is wrong'

What a wonderful day, I see red Marr is treating DC with much more respect that that shocking interview he conducted 6 months ago.

hehe

Is it just me who gets irritated by the interviewing style?
I mean, if Marr was on his own, he'd even manage to interrupt himself.
Git.

+ a lot.

I thought CMD actually seemed very clued up and earnest in his plans for the future. Marr did not look like a happy bunny especially with the BBC comment. Methinks CMD as a nasty little surprise up his sleeve for that particular organisation as I think he sees a lot of waste there.....hehe

The best bit was Susannah Reid and Amanda Platell together.

Need a tablet.

Not just you.

Half way through the interview, I was urging Cameron to stand up and say "Andrew, have this seat and I'll have yours, that way you can continue to answer your own questions directly to the camera."

My thoughts too, and why has she got a tampon in her belly button?

Will this be available on iPlayer? Typical, I gave up watching this due to his unashamed bias - which got worse in the run up to the election..

Oh dear, don't you lot ever get bored of lacking objectivity and being so partisan that you are blind biggrin

The David Cameron interview was good and I agreed with what he said.

Agreed. Now I'm all for interviewers interrupting politicians when they are deliberately avoiding the question and only wish to talk about their own agenda, perfectly illustrated by Evan Davis sticking it to Mandleson.
But I've noticed Marr, Humphries, Andrew Neil and Eddie Mair and others misuse this tactic in an attempt to derail anyone who is not of their own political persuasion. I've even heard Humphries take it to another level, appearing to be give Labour politicians a right grilling, but letting them off the hook at the crucial moment.
I do hope Cameron sorts the Beeb out, because when it comes to their often biased presentation, I'm getting tired of having to continually sort the wheat from the chaff.

So many opportunities for fun if those being questioned were prepared to turn the tables;

"So Andrew, I gather there's to be a contest for the leadership of the Labour Party. Have you considered standing?"

Well I thought Marr gave cameron a fairly easy time. yes he tried to interupt a lot but that was an example of poor interviewing skills rather than bias.

You guys will see bias wherever you look because you've already decided it's there regardless of what actually happens.

No, not me I'm afraid. Marr can interview well when he wants to. The biasedness of some of the beeb's interviewers only becomes apparent after listening to their styles over a period of time.
Nobody told me they were biased, I just listened. Many times it is shown by what they don't do in a particular interview. The change in style can be quite marked, depending on the interviewee.

Keep your ears peeled! wink
