Another everyday tale of life in modern Britain. The grandmother is 45. The unloved grandson is 11.
The husband has a job. This is not the bottom of the barrel.

Nice.
)My Mum had me at 19 (Married at 18, celebrating 37yrs this month, just to clarify) so she could easily have been a Gran at 45 perfecttly respectably. It's just my sister and I were late starters re: babies!
I feel for this woman, she was in a panicked, sleepy state, she remembered all those that live there every day and did remember once outside, luckily he was fine but she still feels terrible, I would hate to think how she'd have coped if it wasn't a good outcome.

i seriously fail to see what her age has to do with this other than suggesting a bad family as a result of her being young?
Intersingly my brother in laws mum had him when she was 15, he had his first child when he was 14 so she was a gran at 29. Funnily enough he is a manager of a large care home, she is management in the railways, her other son is a senior guy at the bank I work at and all of them are very respectable. He had his child young as a result of an accident that could happen to anyone of us when we were that age and shagging.
Still don't let that stop the judgement here or now what will follow on the family I mentioned above.

If the grandma had been in her 80's then it would have been a different type of story! My first thought was dotty old woman! With grandparents being used more and more everyday to give the parents a break from the kids...it seemed as though that was the direction it was heading. But no! At 45 she should have had her marbles, and thankfully the dog....just not the grandchild she was entrusted to look after!
