OK it was from 50 years to 40 but why is public money wasted on affairs such as these. The Feker will still probably die in jail so why the reduction.

It must make it very hard for her family

Surely it's no big deal if (realistically) he's still in jail for the rest of his life.
How does it affect her family?

Genuine question as I'm not sure I understand the issue.

As her mother is confusingly called Sara, the "little" helps to differentiate.

Of course, how silly of me. Her mother still being alive is a very poor method of differentiating the two.

Seems like an utter waste of public money.

He should have been tied to something cheap and heavy and dropped in the Irish Sea.

I was thinking superfluous emotive bks, but yours'll do. I can't say I'm fussed about the story or the sentence reduction, tbh. I doubt he will leave prison alive.

Me neither and I have no understanding of why it should be reported. I guess it's down to "our" "Need to know everything" lifestyle.

Besides which his sentence hasnt been cut, merely the date he is eligible for parole.

But lets not let that get in the way of a good mouth froth inducing reaction. smile

They could let him out tomorrow and it wouldn't affect her family.

I do feel very sorry for Sara. Not only did she lose a daughter, she lost a husband over this as well. What was a really nice family (and yes they were a nice family because we knew them at the time) was totally destroyed by this man. And she was never the same person afterwards either.
