We're skint but are sending 19 million to Gaza..........why?

On the radio this morning they were saying that Britain is sending £19million to Gaza, can someone please explain to me how this works, we are in deep st and are borrowing money from all over the place, unless the government make some drastic cuts we cant afford to pay it back, yet we are sending this money to a country that has some extremely rich friends, tell me I’m missing something.
