Property raffle - again. Win a '£3m' eco house or £1M cash.
Discussion
It does stink of desperation. Why do all these raffles seem to use the same cheap looking website design and layouts too?
Property is nice enough, not really my thing especially at that price, but questionable legality aside I really don't see how the hell they hope to sell 150000 tickets without some seriously agressive marketing campaigns and so on. Not even endorsement from Chris Tarrant (
) can sell that, it's just a flawed concept that'll struggle to sell a few thousand tickets as far as I can see, never mind 150,000.

Any idea of the location? Google Earth/Streetview? I had a quick look at the website but couldn't see anything obvious apart from a Sratford on Avon phone number.
It's off a fast B-road: Clicky - north-east side of the B4090.I heard this on a local radio station yesterday morning. Nothing in the area is worth £3m, particularly not with that little land, so their ambitions were always unrealistic. However, googling it revealed that they'd been in the press last September when they launched the auction. Oh dear, not much interest, then...
They're all a scam. Here's another:
http://www.win-free-home.com/
The accoutns can be seen here: http://www.win-free-home.com/accounts.pdf
Surprisingly he only raised £55,000.
The website apparently cost £3450!!!!
And the 'Organiser' (ie the Homeowner) took £14,160 for himself. Doesn't exactly say why but there you go.

That means that:1) the accountant hasn't checked any of the information he has been provided with;
2) the accounts haven't necessarily been prepared to any accepted standards; and
3) the accountant is not saying the accounts are true, fair or even remotely accurate.
