I'm sure this is one of those things where once you notice something you notice it even more than normal, but this last week or so, just about every single news article I've read where I've thought "Man that's fked up" seems to have taken place in Scotland.

Off the top of my head, woman giving baby methodone dummy, bloke putting a nappy (or something) up a baby's backside to stop it soiling itself, two lads beating a chap to death because they thought he was hitting their mum, the list goes on.

Is there something in the batter?

Would suggest your reading/hearing of stories has been coincidental or blinkered.

Unless a 6yr old being stabbed is par for the course.

No need for your apparent defensiveness, I sincerely doubt the OP was meaning it literally.

I agree that on flicking through the Scotland sections in the last week or so there have been some very odd things. Simple coincidence, obviously given a few of the stories are trials, but the OP isn't alone in picking up it.

I hadn't picked up on it.

Fair enough. I'm not saying that everyone should or would notice it however I did, hence me saying "but the OP isn't alone in picking up on it".

You're reading the BBCs regional Scottish web page mate. You need to click on the UK one to get the whole country. Just as well I'm here biggrin

Jaysus! That was the most polite way of saying "i'd like to stick and stir her" i've ever heard. He should get a bloody medal for being so delicate!
