Since, lets say, the 1940's?

Short lived, arrogant, nasty and petty.

Unelected and no charisma.

Being only 30, I have a very short life view of politics, what do the more experienced (old hehe ) here think?

Not sure about PM, but he was certainly the worst Chancellor the country has ever seen.

No, Tony BLiar was.

Brown was just the fall guy (as PM).

Brown was equally detestable for his part in Nu Labia.

Edward Heath was at least as bad, if not worse in some ways.

I didn't like him when he was PM (Sold us out to the EU)
I didn't like him afterwards (when we found out about what hadn't been made public at the time)
I still don't like him even though he's been dead for a while

furious

Curiously (or not) I don't feel that way about the Labour politicians of the time.

I actually think MT was a good PM... I was a little too young for politics at the time, but looking back....

Quite the opposite. Under the circumstances, he did an excellent job.

You mean despite his obvious psychological problems and towering incompetence he managed to what, dress himself without Sarah's help? Get a grip.

Can't say I remember him having any psychological problems. Most people agree he handled the recession well and it was the recession that dominated his time as PM.

You mean the recession that he had singly handedly prevented due to his eradication of boom and bust, that one?

The man was an incompetent buffoon, and his previous boss a snake oil salesman.

Couldn't have put it better myself and yet it's utterly bewildering how many people think Blair did a great job. Talking to a family member post-election and was staggered when he remarked "it's such a shame that all Blair will be remembered for is taking us into Iraq". When I pressed him further on what he thought it was that Blair had achieved during his 10 years as PM he couldn't elaborate laugh
