so, as we're a net contributor to the EU, should they 'fly' the Union Flag on the stuff we pay for?

Stupid as it is, the people who oversee that we need to fly the €U flag should be put in the stocks. They have just cost us millions, and it could easily have been avoided.
It seems that Brussels are finding whatever reason they can to fine whoever they can. Farmers, steel industry, air quality, flag waving, Microsoft, energy companies, everyone. I think that while this goes on, countries will become more reserved about what they sign up to.

"Several schemes that received European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) money were also penalised for failing to use the EU flag on letterheads, according to a Daily Mail report.so, as we're a net contributor to the EU, should they 'fly' the Union Flag on the stuff we pay for?
However, the EU completely denied the report."
Odds on this being a non-story?

Both ERDF and ESF funded projects require the letterhead nonsense IIRC.

Right, but the story is about £150m in fines.I've seen EU waste first hand, but I'd rather discuss in the context of some facts rather than some probably invented Daily Mail b'locks.
