It's that time of the week again, when any unsecured object within my reach is ready to be launched at the telly, the chances of this happening this week are greatly increased as Nicola Sturgeon is on the panel punch

Oh dear, the comedian has come up with the Keynesian argument as to why we can spend our way out of the depression. And I meant the actual comedian.

I've always though Ed Byrne was a tosser. An unfunny one at that.

Some of these brainwashed lefty students haven't a feckin' clue have they?

No one wants cuts but we're practically bankrupt as a country, it makes you wonder what they were taught at school and college.

Here we go, a country with a population less than london saying scrap trident and give us the money.

<assertion>...but those nasty Tories are really enjoying making cuts</assertion>

Is that really the extent of the argument against? I just don't get why the implied assertion that a small state is bad gets applause. Do the audience really want Nanny State running their entire lives and giving them a bit of pocket money?

Also can none of these idiots do the basic maths? Perhaps they are aware of a magical money tree which can be used to fund the country in the absence of the requisite amount of usually sourced funds.

They'll be asking for their oil revenues next.

Personally I can't envisage a scenario where we would/could independently use our Trident nuclear weapons, or be allowed to, and so if we're really sat under the US umbrella, we might as well save the cash on the Trident replacement and realise we are no longer a great sabre rattling power anymore.

There seems to be a great number of people who want the state to run their lives and until the last election the state was happy to oblige. I don't suppose things will get any better under the coalition but I live in hope.

No, socialists are natural control freaks...far ahead of any others.
