Doesn't seem particularly cruel, they made an effort to protect the eyes, nose and mouth. Animal humiliation doesn't have the same ring to it though!

Or rather "a pussy that's showing pink"?

There is nothing cruel about this and I think it is funny...

Not sure this is animal cruelty. Some poodle owners dye their poodles.

Its not cruel, and slightly funny, but in all the poodle pics the dog looks thoroughly depressed...

Colouring cats and dogs is nothing new, what is strange is it's usually done on 'pampered' pets who have rather strange owners, not a random cat, I'm sure it'd have taken time to do. They obviously took care not to do the face, not what I'd class as cruelty unless the cat got really stressed during the process.

I think all those who think it isn't cruel should have their hair dyed pink and an orange spray tan before being catapulted over a fence. As amusing as it looks the article suggests it could be someone's missing pet. Not sure I'd recognise my cat if it was pink.

"Veterinary surgeon Penny Gillespie, who is caring for Pink" - so it's okay for them to refer to her as Pink? Sounds like the Beeb have run out of stories ..

I can't see that as being "cruel" as I don't see any suffering there? Obviously the cat may have objectect to a bath but then so have my cats when they have been bathed.....

I think many people need to recalibrate their outrage-o-meters. Total non-story, and frankly I'm sure the cat couldn't give a toss.

They have probably helped the cat. Without being died pink itd just be another stray.

In other news; Swindon must be as boring as it looks.

Well I'll take the middle ground here and say I don't see it as particularly cruel or funny.
