Gordon Brown. What happened to him...

Here's what he's been up to as an MP. Basically nothing since April 7th.

I bet the people of Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath are pleased at the amazing level of representation he's offering them.theaxe said:

Isn't this the bloke of such high moral standing that he was going to work tirelessly to put the country back on it's feet?TheyWorkForYou said:

Sad thing is, they probably are, and will probably vote for him again. The lucky few that aren't inhibited in this way have to run the gauntlet of either being mowed down by some
in a modified corsa or get mugged outside the church on the way to participate in the democratic process.I wager there's just a couple of die hard labour supporters who happen to reside at the polling station.

UK Elections 2010 - 62% turnout in Kirkaldy (that's seems quite low compared to other parts of the country especially as it's the Labour Leaders seat), Brown's financial backers accounted for 64.5% of the voting.

As to the previous government’s actions re Rosyth or indeed anything else being a motivating factor in voting Labour then I’d beg to differ. And that’s quite apart from the fact Rosyth is in the neighbouring Dunfermline and West Fife constituency, not Gordo’s Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency
And in any case, the carriers issue is rather less farcical and cynical than moving the nuclear refits from Rosyth (which had the pens, gear, equipment and expertise) to Devonport, which didn't, to support Conservative votes down South some years back. As I die-hard Conservative even I found that move fairly hard to take. But I digress. The Labour vote is simply very deeply entrenched – it isn’t floating [see what I did there
], the bulk of the support would vote-in a monkey if it was wearing a red rosette – indeed they pretty much did….and will do so again. It really doesn’t matter what Labour does or did, or what the current Government does, there is a huge Labour vote there that will never reconsider or question their position. Gordo’s constituency isn’t unique in this respect, it’s just another of the always-has-been/always-will-be sure-fire Labour seats…unless someone actually changes the boundaries.theaxe said:

"272 people are tracking whenever this MP speaks "Out of that 272, i wonder how many actually support him? Lets be generous and say 50%.
Pretty revealing numbers!
