Place your bets... I'm guessing he didn't see a queue of stationary traffic at the lights, looked up, swerved?

I don't think the mixer hit the train..
I think what has damaged the train is part of the bridge wall. You can see the scars on the bank where the mixer has gone down.
The damage area on the train roof looks just like a section of the bridge wall has chopped into it.
Surely not far behind the wall falling was the lorry? All accounts so far say the lorry bounced off the train.I think what has damaged the train is part of the bridge wall. You can see the scars on the bank where the mixer has gone down.

I guess we'll have to wait for some concrete evidence.

Mixer is just too heavy (even empty) to have bounced off the train it would have derailed it.
I stand to be corrected but I think that is what happened.
Looking at the picture I think it's very lucky no one was killed..

king fell over onto a train?
Yes, that's what the news headline says. Obviously, it was propelled off the bridge by propulsives forces, but from that point onwards it fell onto the train under the forces of gravity.
