"And that's a potential recruiting carrot for people and that's what some of these radicalisers look for -- they look for the vulnerability, for the hook to pull people through and when the EDL have been and done what they've done, they perversely leave that behind."

He said it was especially true if high-profile demos ended in the destruction of Muslim property or violence against community members.

You just need to view the videos of British suicide bombers (and those caught before they could complete the act) to understand why they have been 'radicalised'. And it isn't poverty, racism, the edl/bnp or whatever else our politicians and police chiefs tell us.

They(the jihadis) tell us time and time again that we must 'get out of muslim lands', 'stop killing their brothers and sisters in iraq, afghanistan etc' and 'stop supporting israel'.

Whether we agree with the above reasoning or not, this is what motivates these young men but of course no one from the establishment will ever mention it.

There was a soundbite on the radio 2 news from the leader of the EDL.

As he pointed out there are more people willing to stand up and criticise the ELD that there willing to even discuss the extremist Islam issue, because no one has the balls to.

I loved the comment from some Taliban leader the other day. Along the lines of 'We have reduced the amount of suicide bombers we use' in Afghanistan.
Right wing marches probally contribute to radical Islamist recruiting but those guys are the real experts at turning intelligent young men into terrorists and suicide bombers.
