Without criminals, what would happen to the country?
Discussion
This could be controversial...
In my opinion, criminal activity stimulates the economy and is a good thing for the UK.
Reasons:
Vandalised private property has to be repaired, this gives people jobs and stimulates the economy.
Stolen items have to be replaced, which stimulates the economy.
Drugs are good, because they stimulate theft rates^^^^
Murder is good because it means private money changes hands which stimulates the government coffers.
The only crime that is bad for the country is injuring people who will rely on the NHS, as that ties up non profit government resources that could be trimmed back if it were not happening, and restricts tax payers from earning money when they are injured.
So, is crime good for the country, but bad for the people of the country?

All the money spent on courts, the police and prisons etc could either be saved or spent on more constructive things such as better hospitals, public transport or equiping the armed forces with the basic kit they are currently not getting or maybe we'd be further down the cancer cure route. These all have to be provided by someone so don't worry the economy wouldn't suffer. Back to the drawing board for your economic theories.

ha. good one. I am sure public officials wouldn't give themselves a nice "little" raise as a pat on the back as well as creating more useless government jobs to employ more people and the public would only see a small percentage of the benefit. That would never happen.

Oh come on, you must realise this is a somewhat tongue in cheek thread?

And no, I'd not realised your tongue was planted firmly in your cheek. Sorry.

You're a thieving pikey, aren't you...

And another thing, think how big the secuity industry is now, we wouldn't need any of that. A few million jobs would be gone just in that industry.
No more door staff, not more security guards or police or even speed camera's and CCTV would be required if no one was a criminal

We will see how smart you are when your vandalised car is stolen from outside the bodyshop it's being repaired at then used to transport drugs to a deal that goes bad causing you to get murdered because they find out its your car.
But how would that be bad for the country? That would just be bad for me, so i will chalk you down as being in agreement
