She was then asked whether it was an ornament, and answered: "No, a snowman made of snow, I made him myself.

"It ain't a nice road but at the end of the day, you don't expect someone to nick your snowman, you know what I mean?"

What I love is someone saw the teaspoons and the £2 and thought "No I won't just steal the items which have worth, I will steal the whole snowman."

A London MP has been called "dizzy" for dialling 999 after hearing strange noises from her boiler.

Unbelievable ... It's quite worrying that there are people in society who feel the need to call the Police over such trivial matters. How do they survive on a daily basis!?

They MUST have been taking the piss... please tell me they were... if that is the mental capability of someone "higher functioning" making a serious phone call, I don't wish to be part of the same species!

Good job it was not the met they would have sent us around. As they dont seem to filter any calls considering the calls they do class as immediate response.

I know it'd only take more time, but are these cases ever followed-up for wasting police time?

I was shocked during the Coppers TV program the other day how many 999 calls were reporting stuff said on Facebook...

This country has slowly been going down the pan for years.

When my son-in-law did a 999 - he caught yobs keylining his Mini - no cops turned up, although he did get a 'waste of time' call from them days later!

When I followed a pallet lorry and it's load started falling off, I did a 999. I ended the call after about a minute of the person the other end being more interested in 'me' and what I was doing/going. Never did find out whether the falling pallets caused any incidents, but the ones that smashed into the road in front of my car were enough to get me to pull over and call 999. Would I bother again, probably not.

Now, pleeeeeease don't tell me the above fool had a cop go round and turn the telly off?

Policing like that might just sort the country out.
