What (new) tricks are retailers using to get us to part with our hard earned cash.
Electrical.
Discounts on electrical goods seem to appear quickly, 1/2 months after new goods are released, but the discounts are relatively small 10%. In other outlets you wouldn't even bother with that, but £40 off a £400 laptop seems the norm now (even though it may be built into the initial price).
Grocery.
2 for £2. But they are £1.07 each so I am saving 14p and will probably throw some of the second away as I have eaten enough of it.
3 for £18 on beer, but the bottles are 275ml, whereas the normal bottles are 330ml.
T.V.
Sky+ free box and fitting for new customers, existing customers free box but £60 installation.
All are savings but not the good deal they always appear.
