Most children released, 5 apparently remaining.

Man is reported to be 'unstable'.

Scary stuff. My other half works in a nursery. Hopefully he lets everyone go and shoots himself.

According to a French newspaper, he's a 17 years old with 2 swords.

17 and with two swords. So young to do something so rash. I hope they can taser him or something so he can get treatment he clearly needs.

Should get that German dad in from the other thread to castrate the fecker.

I dropped off my youngest at his class at school this morning, he's 4, and every time I wave goodbye to him, I can't help but think of that and those poor parents in Dunblane.

Hope the kids get out ok and the hostage taker, a fekin' coward, takes some shots to his stomach so he can contemplate what he has done, shatting in a bag whilst sitting in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

All kids and teachers out in one piece. No need for gung-ho intervention from the police either.

Too damn right! Can you imagine holding a nursery hostage? All the little screaming brats pooing, weeing and puking up all over the place, not to mention keeping control of the whole lot in the first place. Yeah fear will work, and then they start screaming their little heads off.

And then one will come up to you "can you take me to the loo please" - I mean - what are you going to do as the little blighter craps on the floor in front of you. And it won't be normal coloured poo, it'll be green, just to turn your stomach, and it will just drip down his leg.

What about lunchtime? All hell will break lose. The police will send in bottles of full strength Cola (with half a pound of sugar added to each bottle for good measure) and whatever control you may have had is lost. Lost forever. The kids will be climbing the walls!

Can you imagine the threat "ok, anyone makes a noise and I'll shoot the teacher". Well, teacher is dead meat there and then. Frankly, the class will see to most of the teaching staff get wiped out. And don't think the kids will get away from it, as the most unpopular kid will get nominated to talk the hostage taker down, probably unsuccessfully, but then that is the little bl**ders plan all along - they never liked Bob, or in this case [french]Robert[/french] (pronounced "Row-bear").

If he can make it to sleep time at 3pm, he stands a chance, but frankly, if the poor guy has any sense, he'll turn the gun on himself long before then!
