What makes news nowadays

[Kudos]

I'm talking about the recurring stories that are forever brought up on the news. Example being Foxy knoxy, tragic as it was for the girls parents, why is it that this is brought out on all news channels whenever she says or does anything now.

At the end of the day she murdered someone, and yes there was a bit of salaciousness as there was a bit of sex action, but does that make it any more newsworthy than a story about any other punter getting killed abroad?

I'm sure you all know someone local who has died/murdered abroad but it never gets a mention on the news, so why is this, maddie etc still front page news??
