Leaked out on Saturday that Mervyn King states that Cameron and Osbourne lack depth. Suppose if Osbourne wasn't a good chum of Cameron the coalition may have at least had a guy with sum financial background as the Chancellor.

It's all relative though isn't it? Compared to Red Miniband and postman pat they look like heavy hitters.

Hmmm. I actually think Mervyn King is a goodie, but I also like Cameron and Osbourne too. Considering the decisions they are having to take and cuts they need to make, I think Osbourne deserves more kudos.

Darling as Chancellor was a fecking joke, couldn't take him seriously at all.

The way I see it, Dave and Georgie Boy are surrounded by economic heavyweights, so they can draw upon their expertise. Compare this with Labour.

If CMD and the Boy George had an ounce of decency they would remove Merv from his job ASAP. The fact the allow the incompetent to continue makes them complicit with him.

Hope they all rot (and no I, I think the last lot were also scum, and I expect however the next lot are will also be scum of the highest order).

Well, if you think they're all scum, why post? We know your opinion now so you can dedicate your time to more constructive things than internet fora! smile

Interesting that not one of you people managed to explain away 'what the man said'. So is the man in charge of the Bank of England wrong in his comments regarding the two wonder boys? They lack depth, love it when the truth comes from such a distinguished City of London Gent. rofl

Didn't hear of King slagging off the Labour Chancellor.

We can only hope they have been listening to pearly words from their peers then, although based upon the evidence it is difficult to tell.

Right on brother. What this country really needs right now is another "prudent" Chancellor who brought about the end of "boom and bust", and "saved the worlds economy". Someone with 11 years experiance of totally fking things up doing a great job and bringing about the revolution for the benifit of the working man, (through no stealth taxes whatsoever, and a better quality of social services). Any suggestions on who we might choose comrade?

OP, your posts are shallow and predictable.
Why have a pop at me? I'm only advising you what the Governor thinks of the current P.M and Chancellor. Simply trying to keep you abreast of useful snippets of interest.hehe

What you have to remember is that our Mervyn is a member of the IUoWCBs.
"International Union of Western Central Bankers".
The shop steward of this august organisation will have said to him, "Don't let your current lot deviate from our prescribed course".
Do I have to explain such simple stuff to you?
Nowt is said, or leaked, without motive.

Can someone point me to any sort of achievement undertaken by either Dave or Cameron George , besides being complete failures at anything they done in their life ?

You can join crankedup in the 'looking like a tt' corner for that, and think about what you've done.
