Seems like he was just talking himself up. 'Oh look how powerful and important I am - I could bring this government down' type of thing.

I am not sure about about him either, he preaches pretty hard on various economic points but never offers any real practical solutions.

I hope he does

Hopefully we can have another election while the fk up of Nu Laba is still fresh and the proof that Tory is no different evident.

Maybe that way we can choose a new direction.

I shouldn't read too much into this if I were you. A classic case of entrapment by the media, somebody saying the wrong thing at the wrong time to the media, who then find themselves with a story they themselves have manufactured.

Remember Sarah Fergusson's little mouth-off a few months ago?

Expect a bit of humble pie eating and retractments in the morning wink

No one made him run his mouth to those journalists. And he obviously has a very high opinion of himself. Next Cabinet meeting will be interesting with 'such' an important person like Cable there.

He's a silly old man who shoots his mouth off. They'll dump him as soon as they can. He's this government's Prescott.

I hope he does bring the government down. Let's bring in Red Ed and his party of socialist wonder horses, watch Sterling slide to new lows, go bankrupt and watch the IMF come in and do a lot worse than CMD has the balls to do to finally sort out the country. Hopefully, in the aftermath, the UK will realise what a clusterfk teh Liebour brand of socialism is, and they will become about as relevant as the Green Party.

Or, immediate Euro entry and the support of the ECB.
EU triumphs, GB embraces Euro.
Last vestige of independence gone.

Does the EU really need another bankrupt state to prop up? I honestly believe that there would be civil war if we joined the Euro/EU experiment fully.

I am just sick of the Tories having to come in and sort out the st Labour keep leaving us with. But then I said "fk it" and left - I'm surprised CMD hasn't done the same thing. Leave the rats in their filth and move somewhere warmer.

I just heard the recording. The guy's a pillock. The coalition is a fairly delicate balancing act, and any rebellion might lead to it's collapse, but there's nothing unique about his position that makes him especially valuable.

I'd offload him as soon as possible. It isn't the type mindset we need.

I remember Andrew Neil tearing him a new ahole regarding his stance and 'predictions'

Cable is nothing but a second rate attention seeker

Dont think he's got much of a choice now the full transcripts have come to light. BBC are saying that Cable has launched an all out war on Murdoch's empire.
