The policeman shot by Raul moat
Discussion
Just seen him on the BBC.
Absolutely amazed by his attitude.
He said something along the lines of;
"I have nothing against him. He had to chance to ruin or even end my life, and he messed it up. I'm not going to spend the rest of my life letting his actions get to me"
I'm just amazed at his mentality. He's blind, and hoping to return to work in the new year. It's a truly inspiring story.
I wish him all the best.

The only people regarding Moat as a 'legend' are retarded scum, so their opinion doesn't count anyway.
I've long suspected the pro-Moat comments are not driven out of respect for Moat, more out of a loss of faith in the Police. Given the experience of many (me included), it is understandable. Not - I hasten to add - excusable, but understandable.

Wasn't there "history" between Moat and this Officer? He seemed to go looking for him specifically.Given the experience of many (me included), it is understandable. Not - I hasten to add - excusable, but understandable.

He had pulled Moat over in his van some months before, but it is a tenuous link and it's not thought he went looking for him specifically. He happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, the rest is coincidence.

The bit about being intimidated by Moat seems unlikley - he'd been stopped over and over again by Police.

You mean you don't believe a body building, ex-doorman, ex-con with psycopathic tendancies would be a bit intimidating?
What one who is obviously travelling in such a manor as to excite Police attention and who also had the wrong waste carriers licence for the scrap metals they were hauling...Deva Link said:
I'm not saying he was dishonest - but it was reported that the reason he gave didn't stand up to scrutiny, and the vehicle was returned. The waste licence that Moat had didn't preclude him from carrying scrap metal.

It wasn't reported like that in the article you posted, he was carrying waste he wasn't allowed to?http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/78915...

Having watched the programme aboot him a few months ago he seems highly unhinged and I am not surprised that people could be intimated by this character, even if he was 5 feet tall, it seems most likely not unlikely.
