Surely if those are actual quotes she should have her benefits cut for refusing work?

I was wondering why Soovy hadn't already reported this.

Then I noticed that all four kids had the same father!

So in reality she's bringing up 4 kids - buying food clothes, paying utility bills etc etc for £1K/mth. I wouldn't fancy doing that.

I think she's wrong that she'd have to earn £30K/yr if she worked - if she earned less she'd still get many of the benefits she's getting now, but then she'd have to pay for child care, travel and so on.

Not sure what the answer is in these circumstances - take the kids off her and give them to rich people, perhaps?

Sorry but there is not a chance on Earth any rational tax payer thinks this kind of situation is reasonable!

This is actually one of the starkest examples yet I can think of around the thread I started the other day to do with paying benefits as vouchers for food and not just giving out cash like candy!!

Reduce her benefits enough to make an average paying job start to appeal again.

Why on earth does she need to spend that much on her kids? Surely they can just not get as much this year?

So honestly do you think this is reasonable?

Reduce the child benefit. She's getting far too much if she can put away enough to afford Macs and Xboxes on me.

Perhaps the mail should also include how much money they paid her to stage the picture and story in which she knows it's a Mail style benefit rant.

‘I don’t want to have to say to the kids, “You can’t have that”. It’s not fair and I’m not going to do it. There are people out there who are earning money and getting benefits, and they’re the ones we should be having a go at.’

unbeleivable people that work and get a little extra help are the problem

at least they pay tax and get a little back.

She mentions doing the best by her kids. True enough, the money is there and she is grabbing it with both hands.

I think is partly how I feel.

I can't help but think it is stupid how much money she can receive from the state which appears to be for having children....

Don't forget the story is in the Daily Mail - did they time travel to get a pictire of the kids holding their Christmas presents? It claims she's spending £3-400 per child - the Macbook must be knockoff then.

The sad part to me was that she's borrowing to buy the presents, so the repayments must be made from her benefits. I wonder if this is crap, and someone is bunging her money and she doesn't want to admit it in case it affects her benefits?
