John Prescott and the Alan Johnston bodyguard 'affair'

Just a wee bit curious as to the similarities of their positions at work
Both would appear to have been hard at it working for Queen and country.
Only 1 to be carpeted?

Both seemed to keep it up for a time but obviously someone found out and spilled the beans to bankrupt nation.

I feel sorry for their spouses but what goes around comes around
No cancel that pity....just remembered both worked under Bliar.

What?

Where is the similarity between Prescott and Johnson? Why feel sorry for Johnson's spouse when it was she, not him, that had the affair? And neither were 'carpeted'....

Have you actually got any idea what's happened?

He's drawing the connection between Prescott and the bodyguard and he makes a good point.

It was Johnsons wife who had the power here. If anyone should be carpeted it's her, not the officer. After Prescott's affair with the civil servant she was moved, he carried on. Double standards.

Exactly the point I was trying to make, albeit in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

I apologise that the salient point was lost - perhaps a bit obtuse when I read it again.
