Well I have ahd a search but a big potential fail here if I missed it, but bearing in ming the 70 odd page thread about Jo Yeates, why has no one started one on this murdered mother and unborn child in Wales?

There does not seem to be the media frenzy surrounding it either. Any reason why? Is it that there isn't the same mystery about it?

Probably because its a nailed on murder case, stabbed, flat set on fire I believe?

Pretty sad state of affairs really, don't know what kind of life she had or what she was involved in, but dying like that with a baby on the way is just horrendous frown

Don't think it's the Welsh angle, but nobody in the media gives a st about teenage mums unless it's a chance to bash them.

Interesting to compare their last few hours - she (and bear in mind she 2 wks from giving birth) was at McDonalds at midnight and was driven around town for an hour before arriving home at 1AM.

Joanna, footloose and fancy-free for the weekend while her boyfriend was away, left the pub at 8.30 and walked home.

I'm always amazed how some horrific crimes get a few lines in the papers and are virtually ignored.

650 murders a year in the UK, should we start 2 threads a day?

I heard this on the news, it was tragic.

Are there any leads to the murderer?

Well they've arrested somebody now. I don't care how preganant she was, or what burgers she ate. Poor girl didn't deserve what happened; nobody does. 19 yrs old is too young.

I was only saying this morning (without knowing the facts) that I bet it's the father of the child that doesn't want to pay half his wage for the next 18 years....

..but apparently not:

The Press Association said:
"Officers investigating the murder of 19-year-old Nikitta Grender have arrested a 26-year-old man from the Newport area on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at this time," a Gwent Police statement said.

She moved to the flat with boyfriend Ryan Mayes, 18, about six months ago and the couple had already decorated a room in preparation for the baby.

Some women won't have anything done or buy anything before the baby is born as they feel it's bad luck.

There's one, anyway. Not that I am Welsh, but I do live here. I don't think there's any more, 'cos I've been riding my bike around for months while wearing a PH hi-vis vest, and nobody's said they've seen me.....
