As well as London and Australia today there were also problems last week at the NYSE and in Italy

also from Friday, http://ftalphaville.ft.com/blog/2011/02/25/498246/...

Wonder if there's something sinister behind it or just coincidence ?

Er, they have been for years - constant, coordinated and sustained....

A couple of times they have succeeded, but so far no lasting damage.

And yes, its your usual suspects. As the phrase often attributed to Dillenger goes - "why rob the banks?" "Cos thats where the money is". Same with the stock exchanges - so many scenarios, so many situations and so much money.
