revolt
They've revolted many times, and have been brutalised by the govt. If you think no revolt has happened in Saudi then you are hugely mistaken. People have tried to revolt but have been put down with brutality. In Egypt, the military guarded the protesters and made everyone play relatively nice. In Iran, the protesters get shot by the Police, the Army, the Revolutionary Guard and the Militias. But it's becoming more and more unstable. And the uprisings around the Middle East, especially in Egypt, are going to tip the sphere of influence away from Iran.
Egypt holds massive cultural power throughout the Arab world. And if they start to make negative noises about the regime in Iran, we could be in for a further round of uprisings towards the end of the year.
