A discussion started on a thread with one poster claiming PistonHeads is predominately right wing, my observations are plenty of left wing voters are always there to put the boot into Cameron, Thatcher and any other tory in an equal measure.

So I though I would start a poll to see. biggrin

Ok could a MOD please change title to 2015 pleeeaase laugh

I've always voted Lib Dem in the General elections because our local MP is very good. However, he's standing down this time round so I'm actually going to have to think about it.

To see my replies on PH you would think I am tory all the way. But if robin Corbett was still the Labour MP for Erdington he would have my vote. However as he isn't and Labour sent a dhead I'm tory.biggrin

Was a lifelong Tory voter. Never, ever again. (Well done Cameron)

I don't see anyone worthy of the ink in the pen, let alone the effort of walking to the polling station.

I cannot understand why 4% of PHers want to vote for parties that want to destroy their hobby.

Some parties are much more obsessed with it than others, for instance, the Tories would worry about losing votes if they were too anti-car, but the Greens get their votes from being car-hating mentalists.

I have a rather large problem .....
I am entitled to vote in two places (and never would before anyone asks) but in one venue, my local MP is really quite good and has actually helped me on a couple of things that she could have side stepped! She didn't. But she is Labour..... And only has a small majority which could easily be over turned.

On the other hand, my second option is a narrow Tory majority and he really needs every vote!

What do do?????

And at a GE I don't think protest votes are a good thing. LE (IMHO) are very different although funnily can often have much more impact on my day to day life!

And you may have guessed that I certainly do not want another Labour government while I have a hole you know where.

I won't be voting. I am no longer convinced that democracy is the best form of government and think we should try something else. A benevolent dictatorship or anarcho-capitalism are both worth a try IMO.

Yeah I suspect they vote that way in the misguided belief that because theyre voting greens in theyll be somehow rewarded by not having their driving priveliges curtailed by the party, kind of like a payoff for doing the "right thing".

How disappointed would they be?
Thatd be priceless to see a dyed in the wool greenie voter lose their transport and have to go on the bus or shank it everywhere with 5 kids.

And that's how our system is supposed to work. Sadly, it doesn't.

Seems that PH is deeply unrepresentative of the general population.

Phew.
